The Arm of the Lord!

ree

Throughout scriptures we see references regarding ‘the Arm of the Lord’ and in each of those scriptures we see God’s mighty power and ability to deliver His people from destruction, harm, afflictions, and bring them into their promised possessions. In Exodus 6:6 we see it was by God’s “outstretched arm’ He brought His people out of Egyptian slavery, In Isaiah 63:12 it was by His mighty Arm that he divided the sea, in Psalm 44:3 we see that the people of God did not receive the promised land by their own ability or military might, but by the hand and arm of the Lord! The scriptures are replete with phrases of God’s mighty arm.

The prophet Isaiah asked this very important and transcending question that still applies today; TO WHOM IS THE ARM OF THE LORD REVEALED?! (Isaiah 53:1). In this passage you may accurately use the word ‘demonstrated’ in place of ‘revealed’ for clarity. If you know anything about Hebrew writing and literature, many of the answers are in the questions that preceded the BIG question. The Question that preceded was “WHO HATH BELIEVED OUR REPORT?” So, to whom is the Arm of the Lord demonstrated, the answer is to him/her that has believed the report?! Glory to God!

Now all believers believe God has great power and ability I mean after all He is God! But the age-old question is do you believe the report that God WILL do it for YOU (whom)?! Jesus Himself asked a similar question when two blind men came wanting to be healed of their blindness. Obviously these two men heard the reports that He was a healer, but Jesus had to see if they believed it from a personal level, and so He asked; “do YOU BELIEVE that I am able to do this?”

You see Child of God we must be profoundly genuine with ourselves before the Lord. I had to ask myself this very question back in 2011, when I had some health issues that made me get serious about my beliefs and at that time I had to say ‘Lord I know and believe you healed me 2000 years ago, but do I believe in the manifested reality of that in me now, and am I fully persuaded of it? At that time, I had to say ‘no’. But thank God for the Holy Spirit bringing back to my memory that I can become fully persuaded because faith cometh by hearing, and by hearing the Word of God and being single minded!

See Miracles do not precede the believer, they follow the believer! We Christians seem to get caught at this in principle all the time where we inwardly hope for a great manifestation of God’s power in the areas of health, finances, politics etc… We hope for God to deal with the negative or evil situations, but God is waiting for us to do the work of believing! Work?, did you say ‘work’ brother, that sounds like going back under the law?” How many times I have heard this or “no, no, no it’s all by grace”. The rightly divided Word says it’s by Grace THROUGH FAITH!

There were some that came to Jesus and asked him “ What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent”. Also, in the book of Hebrews chapter 4 it says; “Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief”. When you fully believe the Word of God there comes a rest. If your worried, have fears, and anxieties over a matter you’re not at rest which indicates you’re not yet fully persuaded.

It took me 5 months to come to a place where I knew that I knew I am fully persuaded that I am healed. In other words, I was healed on the inside first before the manifestation on the outside or you can say I believed first, than came the manifestation of the ARM OF GOD! Jesus said; these signs (miracles) shall follow the believer…. Selah!
