God Speaks Good Over You!

I know if you have been a child of God for any amount of time, you like all of us have experienced thoughts and feelings of inadequacies and short comings. Many times, we may even feel that when God looks at us, he’s disappointed and shakes his head in frustration!

Although it is true according to the scriptures that we can displease and grieve the heart of God, and every one of us can and should come up higher in the things of God, it is not true that God sees you as a failure, a disappointment or a cast away! No child of God for He sees you through the eyes of faith, He sees you according to who he has designed you to be! When the Father looks at us, He may see weakness, but He declares “Strong in Me and in the power of My might. He may see sickness in you, but He speaks “Healed by Jesus Stripes”, He may see confusion, and double mindedness, but He speaks ‘Peace and a Sound mind!” We should thank Him that He is that way because we don’t want him to agree with us, especially if we are in that wrong frame of mind. When God brought that first generation of Israel out of Egyptian bondage, they kept saying “ we are going to dye out here in this wilderness (paraphrased)!” and after tempting the Lord numerous times with a refusal to believe God, The Lord said; “As truly as I live, saith the LORD, according as ye have spoken in my ears, so will I do to you” (Number 14:28).

No, we don’t want that, we want to agree with what God says because He is the God that ‘Calls those things that are not as thou they were’ (Romans 4:17). When God stepped out on the edge of the universe, He didn’t say ‘Oh Me is it dark out here!’ No, He spoke ‘Light Be!’ and changed the situation. If you want your situation changed, agree with what God said Amen and ponder!
